Job summary

Brunel is recruiting a Project Construction Manager to work in Houston, TX on an initial 1-year contract. You will oversee construction planning and coordination from proposal through project close-out, leading the construction engineering team and supporting site management during execution.

You will develop construction strategies, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate subcontracting and site preparation, and ensure HSE, QA/QC, and client requirements are met, while coordinating handover

Qualifications

• Experience in construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.
• Ability to lead subcontracting efforts, bid evaluations and negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, QA/QC and regulatory requirements.
• Constructability and change management experience.
• Proven leadership and clear communication with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction strategies, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Coordinate construction engineering, subcontracting, and site preparation.
• Lead subcontract negotiations and bid evaluations.
• Conduct constructability reviews and support design reviews.
• Ensure documentation meets HSE, quality, regulatory, and client requirements.
• Coordinate handover to site management and pre-commissioning planning.
• Review costs, progress, staffing hours, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate meetings and resolve issues with engineering, procurement, and site teams.
• Identify risks, investigate deviations, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support change management, including claims and variation orders.
• Prepare monthly reports and review HSE and QA/QC reports.
• Coordinate final reporting, lessons learned, and as-built documentation.
