Job summary

Culbertson Resources Inc in Houston, TX is seeking a Construction Manager / Field Service Project Manager to oversee large-scale electrical field service projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout.

You will coordinate manpower, subcontractors, materials, and schedules, lead meetings, track budgets and KPIs, ensure safety and contractual compliance, and maintain strong client relationships while supporting cross-functional teams in a hybrid office/field role.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience in electrical, industrial, utility, construction, or EPC environments.
  • Experience managing field-based electrical or power system projects / working with substations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and project execution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Job description

The Construction Manager / Field Service Project Manager is responsible for managing large-scale electrical field service projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout. This role oversees project planning, execution, safety, budgeting, scheduling, and customer communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual requirements.

The Construction / Field Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between customers, operations, engineering, subcontractors, and internal teams while driving project performance and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with substations, transmission systems, high-voltage equipment, testing and maintenance services, or industrial power projects
  • Experience in oil & gas, utility, industrial, or construction environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in fast-paced environments
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Hybrid office and field-based role
  • Regular travel to project sites required
  • Industrial and construction work environments expected
