Job summary

PTS Advance in Houston seeks an experienced field supervisor to verify health, safety, and environmental requirements on construction sites.

You will interface with contractors, support project execution, monitor schedules and budgets, and participate in safety meetings. This 1-year assignment emphasizes field oversight, construction readiness, and performance reviews to ensure compliance and progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in maintenance, turnarounds, or projects in petrochemical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide constructability input during the project engineering and design.
• Provide input in the project construction cost estimate and preliminary schedule.
• Provide input on the construction execution plan within the overall project execution plan.
• Work with the project manager to establish the contractors work schedule.
• Conduct field construction activities in regards to safety, productivity, and quality on a daily basis.
• Verify the safe and effective use of equipment and resources.
• Verify the efficient use of labor and materials in order to meet approved project budgets.
• Provide an overview of daily work activities of field construction.
• Schedule and facilitate construction kick off meetings.
• Manage construction schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
• Participate in construction team weekly meetings.
• Verify timely construction updates to production representative on assigned projects.
• Participate in engineering and construction contractor performance reviews.
• Track performance, overtime, and providing guidance on incentives.
• Participate in construction team safety meetings.
• Facilitate contractor safety orientations.
• Facilitate start-up reviews at job completion.
• Participate or facilitate incident investigations.

Role Description:

Position verifies field execution by construction contractors meets the health, safety, and environmental requirements as outlined by client. Position supports projects in the execution phases consistent with published objectives, guidelines, and company principles. Position reports to the Construction Manager and provides the primary interface for the construction contractors to the sites HSE and Project Management function during field assessment.
