Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an experienced Project Manager/Construction Manager to lead complex life science and pharmaceutical facility projects in Houston. You will manage on-site execution, coordinate with owners, designers and contractors, and ensure safety and compliance throughout all project phases.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years on construction sites, strong pre-design knowledge, and proven client leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction/Engineering.
• 10+ years as a project/construction manager on a construction site.
• 5+ years in Life Science/Pharma facility construction is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, building systems, contract management.
• Experience with mechanical systems and leading contractors.
• Review hygienic/mechanical scopes from bid phase.

Responsibilities

• Lead client and construction meetings.
• Facilitate walkdowns and reviews with owner and designers.
• Attend constructability reviews.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelors degree in Construction or Engineering or other; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• At least 10 years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Construction manager with experience on a construction site
• At least 5 years of experience in managing construction projects related to Life Science and/or Pharmaceutical Production Facility Construction highly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required.
• Experience with Mechanical systems
• Experience leading contractors and Superintendents for current scope, engineering information, and document drawings/specifications for construction execution.
• Working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required.
• Ability to review and assist with Hygienic and Mechanical scopes of work from the initial Bid Phase

Ideally, you'll also have

• Pharma experience
• Excellent communications skills
• Proficient in use of software as Power Point, Excel, Word, Bluebeam
• Familiarity with P6 Scheduling software
• Logical, technical problem solving skills
• Facilitate and coordinate walkdowns and meetings and/or reviews with owner and designers
• Attend constructability reviews
• Lead client and construction meetings.

The base salary range for this position is $119,800.00 to $195,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
