Job summary

EE Reed Construction is seeking a Construction Management Intern to gain hands-on exposure on both the office and field sides of our projects. You will work under project managers and site supervisors to support day-to-day tasks and learn how projects are planned and executed.

This paid summer internship offers direct mentorship, exposure to RFIs, submittals, meetings, schedules, budgets, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• No prior experience required; internship exposure is a plus.
• Comfortable working both in the office and on active jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and daily field reports.
• Shadows project meetings, jobsite walks, and subcontractor coordination.
• Gains exposure to scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and site logistics.
• Supports health, safety, and quality compliance on projects.
• Attends career-fair-connected activities and association events when possible.

Job Summary

The Construction Management Intern gains hands-on exposure to both the office and field sides of construction, assisting the project management and field supervision teams with day-to-day tasks under the guidance of the Project Managers/Senior Project Managers/Assistant Project Managers and Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and daily field reports (daily, punch lists, and material/equipment tracking).
• Shadows project meetings, jobsite walks, and subcontractor coordination
• Gains exposure to scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and site logistics
• Supports HSE and quality compliance efforts on assigned projects
• Attends career-fair-connected activities and association events as opportunities allow (ABC, NAIOP, ULI)

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• No prior experience required; coursework or prior internship exposure a plus
• Comfortable working both in the office and on active jobsites
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn
