Job summary

GFT, an award-winning architecture, engineering, and construction firm, invites you to join as a Construction Management Intern. You will work on real client projects, receive mentorship from experienced leaders, and gain hands-on exposure across construction observation, documentation, and reporting.

During the internship, you will be guided by professionals with a focus on safety, schedules, and budget alignment.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil Engineering.
Demonstrated interest in construction management through coursework, internships, or other work experiences.
Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.
Thrives in a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Will require outside work in various weather conditions.
Must hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Support real client projects by participating in construction observation and/or inspection of construction activities.
Interface with the project team and task managers.
Review and update submittal status reports.
Assist with preparing schedule reports.
Maintain project files/documentation including logs.
Manage online project document control system.
Attend project meetings and assist with keeping minutes.
