Job summary

Wolverine Construction is offering a Summer Internship Program based in Grand Rapids, Lansing, or Southeast Michigan. You'll work on real projects with experienced construction professionals, gaining exposure to both business and field sides of the industry.

Based in our offices, you'll collaborate with Project Management and Preconstruction teams, spend time on active jobsites with Superintendents and trade subcontractors, and develop practical skills to succeed in construction project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project teams to help achieve project schedules and budgets.
• Assist in managing multiple projects and monitoring progress according to scope and resources.
• Participate in estimating, prepare cost estimates, and review them for accuracy.
• Create project scopes with Project Manager and assist in preconstruction tasks such as permitting, value engineering, take-offs, bidding, and subcontract issuance.
• Help create and maintain construction schedules and assist with site safety plan implementation.
• Coordinate with Owner and subcontractors; prepare and execute project work plans.
• Maintain daily field reports and coordinate temporary utilities and job site mobilization.
• Assist with field personnel direction to meet project deadlines and budgets, ensuring quality workmanship.
