Job summary

SpawGlass is offering a Construction Management Intern position in Houston, designed to provide hands-on experience across preconstruction through project closeout. You will support project teams with plan reviews, submittals, RFIs, quantity takeoffs, schedule updates, and site coordination to help meet safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in construction management or civil engineering programs, with strong communication, organization, and a proactive work ethic.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a construction management, civil engineering, or related program preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction processes, drawings, and terminology.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field and office teams.
• Strong organizational skills with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced construction setting.
• Reliable, punctual, adaptable, and safety-minded with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to construction software is a plus.
• Willingness to work in both office and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, assist with submittals and RFIs.
• Quantity takeoffs and data entry support; schedule updates.
• Document meeting notes, site logistics, safety documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and inspectors.
• Support project teams from preconstruction through closeout.
