Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Construction Management Intern for our Horizontal Construction group. You will assist project teams, participate in design and compliance discussions, and gain hands-on experience with site construction and evaluation.

You will review RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes, help create schedules and estimates, and support budget tracking. This internship emphasizes learning, growth, and collaboration with engineers and project managers to deliver real-world outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited program.
• GPA target of 3.0 or higher.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Review RFIs and submittals, attend weekly project meetings and take meeting minutes.
• Create schedules, estimates and contractor proposals for projects.
• Ensure that schedule and budget are maintained within acceptable parameters.

Working closely with your construction project manager, you’ll be immersed in both project design and compliance as well as site construction and evaluation. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with project contractors.

You will be helping to review RFIs, submittals, attending weekly project meetings and taking meeting minutes, creating schedules, creating, and reviewing estimates and contractor proposals, ensuring that schedule and budget are maintained within acceptable parameters.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited program
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Ideally, you’ll also have

• 3.0 GPA
• A previous internship related to your field of study
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

The base salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
