Job summary

High Construction in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Construction Management Intern to support preconstruction, project management, and field management teams on a rotating basis.

The role aims to expose students to all facets of a general contractor, with future possibilities as an assistant estimator, assistant project manager, or assistant superintendent during the internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associates/Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field
• 1+ years of construction related experience is preferred
• Competency in Microsoft software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated competency in handling job details, organization, and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Assist preconstruction team with estimating, including bid solicitation, take off, and preparations for transition of project into operations
• Assist preconstruction team with purchasing: scheduling de-scope meetings, minutes, subcontractor requests, and subcontract preparation; prepare A401 scope sheets
• Assist project management team with submittals, RFIs, and documentation
• Assist project management team with scheduling and change orders
• Assist project management team with billing: receiving and approving subcontractor bills, preparing owner bills and associated backup required
• Assist field management team with inspections, daily logs, and three-week lookahead schedules

Headquartered in Lancaster, PA, High Construction Company is searching for a Construction Management Intern who will support our preconstruction, project management, and field management teams.

The goal of this position is to expose students to all facets of a general contractor - spending a portion of the internship with each department. Future employment could be an assistant estimator, assistant project manager, or assistant superintendent.
