Beacon Hill Staffing Group seeks a Construction Litigation Legal Assistant for its Orlando office to support attorneys and paralegals with complex administrative tasks, calendar management, and matter processing.

This role requires knowledge of Florida and Federal civil procedure, calendar in Outlook, and a degree in paralegal studies or related field; 5 years of law firm experience preferred, construction litigation exposure a plus.

A national law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Legal Assistant for their Orlando office.

Summary

• Assist attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complex administrative and clerical duties
• Process new matters and conflict requests and perform conflict maintenance on existing matters, as required
• Review and process all incoming or outgoing mail
• Ensure attorney time is correctly entered by the deadline and perform month-end billing processes
• Gather client accounting information and generate accounting reports available through accounting software; ensure timely payment of vendor invoice
• Maintain Florida Bar requirements (CLEs, Board Cert. Applications and Renewals, and Court Admissions)
• Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings in coordination with the case team, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, court reporters, judicialassistants, and/or mediators
• Knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
• 5 years exp. In law firm or corporate legal dept environment
• Experience with complex calendaring in Outlook
• Good understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Construction Litigation experience is preferred but not required.
