About the Position:
We are working with a leading international law firm that has an immediate need for a litigator to join its Chicago office as a mid-level associate. This practice is Chambers-ranked and represents public and private owners, design professionals, contractors, and suppliers in all stages of construction. Responsibilities:
· Represent public and private owners, design professionals, suppliers, and contractors in construction disputes
· Draft and negotiate contracts
· Work on a variety of construction litigation matters, including cost overruns, breaches of contract, construction delays and impacts, design and architectural errors and omissions, construction defects, and insurance coverage
Required Qualifications:
· 2 or more years of construction law experience or complex litigation experience with the desire to develop expertise in construction law
· Ideal candidates will have experience with litigating delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and products and/or breach of contract claims
· Large law firm experience and/or judicial clerkship preferred
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $235,000 – $365,000.
