Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Sacramento, CA seeks an attorney with 3–5 years in business litigation and transactions to join our team with a focus on construction-related matters.

Responsibilities include handling disputes from complaint through trial or settlement, taking depositions, drafting contracts, and advising CA businesses on licensing, payment, and compliance. California Bar membership required.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active membership in the California State Bar.
• Approximately 3–5 years of civil litigation or transactional experience.
• Desire to be in court and engage in active litigation.
• Ability to write clearly and explain legal problems to non-lawyers.
• Familiarity with AI tools, CLAUDE, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle business and construction disputes from complaint through trial or settlement.
• Take and defend depositions, write and argue motions, and prepare cases for trial.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and other business agreements.
• Work directly with clients, including business owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Advise on licensing, payment, and compliance questions for California businesses.
