Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Construction-Line Worker for its Kinetic construction and engineering organization. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining poles, cables, and conduits; running fiber optic and copper cable both aerial and underground; and handling heavy machinery and travel requirements.
As a line worker you will install, repair, and maintain poles, cables and conduits; run fiber optic and copper cable aerially and underground; operate heavy machinery; maintain safety procedures; and perform routine maintenance. This is a safety‑sensitive position that may include weekends, holidays, standby and unscheduled hours, overtime, and travel of over 50%.
Standing continuously 67‑100%; walking continuously 67‑100%; sitting occasionally 0‑33%; driving–car occasionally 0‑33%; van continuously 67‑100%; CMV occasionally 0‑33%; climbing continuously 67‑100%; bending, crouching, pushing‑pulling, carrying, reaching above head, lifting‑lowering 1‑15 lbs, 15‑30 lbs, 30+ lbs – all continuously 67‑100%; repetitive hand action – fine manipulating and operating foot control – continuously 67‑100%; audio‑visual needs – hearing, near vision, far vision, peripheral vision, color discrimination – continuously 67‑100%; exposures – cold, heat, dampness, heights, vibration, skin irritants, dust, fumes/gases – frequently 34‑66%.
