Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking interns for the Central Texas Region. The internship program prepares you for leadership roles on and off the jobsite, with opportunities to travel across the United States and gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management.

Interns work on jobsites or in the office supporting pursuits in estimating, preconstruction, and related departments, with a 12-week schedule and relocation as needed for certain roles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-week work schedule preferred.
• Relocation may be required for specific roles.

Responsibilities

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
