Qualifications

• Must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and demonstrate a strong record of teaching excellence.
• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate Construction Law courses with a primary commitment to in-person instruction.
• Professional experience in construction industry, including expertise in contracts, project delivery, risk management, disputes, or regulatory compliance.
• Bring practical industry knowledge into the classroom and support student engagement and academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly feedback meetings with EU administrator (Dean, Academic Advisor, or Program Director).
• Maintain accurate attendance (daily and weekly).
• Make calls to students who have been absent.
• Review and administer pre- and post-testing in all appropriate courses.
• Administer required surveys and assessments in all appropriate courses.
• Notify registrar of roster changes and ensure proper entry.
• Prevent “do not admit” students from entering class until cleared.
• Maintain a fair grading scheme for each student.
• Adhere to University policies, rules and regulations.
• Maintain neat, accurate, and organized course syllabi.
• Update attendance daily and grades weekly; keep records on campus.
• Conduct class according to schedule; prevent excessive breaks.
• Be available to students 15 minutes before class for questions/advising.
• Submit grades by Monday 5pm EST after term ends.
• Ensure students adhere to University Policy.
• Attend graduation ceremonies if possible.
• Maintain classrooms in a clean and orderly manner.
• Motivate and assist students with academics and attendance.
• Maintain current information related to subjects taught.
• Complete annual professional development plans.
• Tutor students as necessary.
• Abide by laws and rules pertaining to safety, health, and conduct.
