Job summary

TalentMovers seeks a Construction Laborer / Millwright ready to work on active job sites across the region. This role requires welding and metal fabrication, with plasma cutters and grinders as standard tools.

You will relocate permanently to Platte, South Dakota and travel to project locations as needed. Expect project-based work with long days and 5–6 days per week, including several states such as South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas and Texas.

Qualifications

• Construction, millwright, welding or metal-fabrication experience preferred.
• Welding and cutting experience strongly valued.
• Experience using plasma cutters and grinders preferred.
• Experience working with steel and metal fabrication preferred.
• CDL Class A is highly valued.
• Willingness to relocate to Platte, South Dakota.
• Willingness to travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction and millwright duties on active job sites.
• Perform welding and metal-cutting work as required.
• Use plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Assist with steel and metal fabrication projects.
• Operate forklifts and telehandlers when qualified.
• Assist with equipment installation, movement, and construction activities.
• Work safely at elevated heights when required.
• Follow project plans, supervisor instructions, and job-site safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
• Work effectively as part of a construction crew in physically demanding environments.

Role: Construction Laborer / Millwright

Pay Rate

• $16–$21 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule & Travel

• Project-based work with rotating job sites
• Must be available to work long days when required
• Projects may require working 5–6 days per week
• Travel may include projects throughout South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, and Texas

Relocation

• Must be willing to permanently relocate to Platte, South Dakota
• Must be available to travel to project locations as needed

• Forklift or telehandler experience is a plus
• CDL Class A is highly valued
• Comfortable working at heights of approximately 150–200 feet
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work
• Willingness to travel for projects
• Willingness to permanently relocate to Platte, South Dakota
• Clean driving and work history required
• No DUI history
• Must successfully complete required background screening
• Must successfully complete required drug screening
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a crew
