Job summary

TalentMovers is seeking a Construction Laborer / Millwright for project-based work with rotating sites. The role requires relocation to Platte, South Dakota, and potential travel across SD, ND, KS, and TX. Expect long days and 5–6 days per week as projects demand.

Strong preference for CDL Class A and welding/fabrication background. Ideal candidates are comfortable heights (150–200 feet) and can work safely within a crew on physically demanding sites.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, millwright, welding, or metal-fabrication experience preferred.
• Welding and cutting experience strongly valued.
• Experience using plasma cutters and grinders preferred.
• Experience with steel and metal fabrication preferred.
• Forklift or telehandler experience is a plus.
• CDL Class A is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction and millwright duties on active job sites.
• Perform welding and metal-cutting work as required.
• Use plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Assist with steel and metal fabrication projects.
• Operate forklifts and telehandlers when qualified.
• Assist with equipment installation, movement, and construction activities.
• Work safely at elevated heights when required.
• Follow project plans, supervisor instructions, and job-site safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
• Work effectively as part of a construction crew in physically demanding environments.

Position Details

Role: Construction Laborer / Millwright

Pay Rate

• $16-$21 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule & Travel

• Project-based work with rotating job sites
• Must be available to work long days when required
• Projects may require working 5-6 days per week
• Travel may include projects throughout South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, and Texas

Relocation

• Must be willing to permanently relocate to Platte, South Dakota
• Must be available to travel to project locations as needed
