Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks an entry-level helper to assist skilled craft workers at construction sites, performing physical labor and helping prepare tasks.

You will follow directions from superintendents and crew, prioritize safety, keep work areas clean, read warning signs, and learn to observe equipment function for hazards. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to use hand/power tools; outdoor work in all weather, overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring basic understanding of jobsite safety rules.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions from management.
• Willingness to perform physical labor and operate hand/power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions given by superintendents, foreman and other experienced crew.
• Perform all required duties with the first focus on safety.
• Responsible for keeping work areas clean and in orderly conditions.
• Read and understand warning signs, operating instructions for equipment, jobsite safety rules and jobsite policies.
• Learn to observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards.
