Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Laborer for commercial construction in Fargo, ND. This contract-to-hire role involves general labor on sites, measuring, cutting, and using hand tools, with early start times and potential overtime.

You will work with a crew of 5–6 on roof environments, outdoors in varying weather, and may extend hours to meet weather-related delays. Travel is rare and safety gear is required; a strong work ethic and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Able to read and interpret measurements accurately.
• Comfort working at heights on commercial sites, including roofing environments.
• Strong attention to detail in measuring, cutting, and installing materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties on commercial construction job sites in a safe and efficient manner.
• Measure and cut materials accurately according to project specifications and foreman instructions.
• Use hand tools and other basic construction equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Work at heights, including on commercial flat roofs when required.
• Assist the foreman and team members to keep projects on schedule.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on site.
• Support crew with weather-related schedule adjustments, including longer days or Saturdays.
• Communicate with team to coordinate tasks and ensure quality work.
• Read and interpret measurements and basic instructions to complete work accurately.
