Construction Laborer - Paving Operations

We are recruiting for Paving and Milling Operation positions for our 2025 season. Please complete this Construction Laborer (paving) Application. Qualified applicants may be called throughout the season. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to work safely and efficiently as part of our paving operations team. Responsibilities include physical labor at highway and heavy construction projects, placing, raking, and luting material, and operating the screw and grade system on an asphalt paver.

Essential Job Functions

• Knowledge of asphalt paving operations
• Ability to hold grade and understand cross slopes
• Evaluate equipment for safety and mechanical readiness before use
• Follow safety procedures and participate in weekly toolbox meetings
• Maintain a clean work environment and perform daily cleanout
• Wear proper PPE and follow dress code
• Work long hours, including weekends; travel and overnight stays may be required

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in paving operations, equipment, quality control, and procedures. Basic math skills, ability to follow instructions, strong work ethic, team player, OSHA 10 certification, and valid driver’s license are required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, and vibration. Work in outdoor conditions, including extreme weather. Must lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor with stamina and manual dexterity.

Position Details

This is a full-time seasonal position with long hours, weekend work, and possible travel.
