Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a General Laborer to support concrete and civil construction operations in Clyde, NC. This role involves outdoor work, forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup, and requires teamwork on a busy site.

The position is suited for individuals comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work, lifting and manual tasks, and who can work varying shifts including weekends when required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction, concrete, farming, ranching, or agricultural work preferred.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work day or night shifts, including Saturdays if required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with concrete operations including forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.
• Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying materials, and site cleanup.
• Operate hand tools and small equipment as directed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe jobsite.
• Work collaboratively with foremen, operators, and crew members.
