Job Title: Semi-Skilled Laborer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Measures distances from grade stakes, drives them, and stretches tight line.
2. Bolts, nails, aligns, and blocks up under forms.
3. Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
4. Levels earth (digs) to fine grade specifications with a shovel or pick.
5. Mixes concrete using a portable mixer.
6. Smooths and forms freshly poured concrete using a float, trowel, or screed.
7. Positions, joins, aligns, and seals pipe sections.
8. Erects scaffolding, shoring, and braces to job and safety specifications.
9. Brushes and/or spreads paints or other compounds over surfaces for protection.
10. Sprays materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco through hose to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.
11. Grinds, sands, or polishes surfaces such as concrete, marble, or wood flooring using abrasive tools or machines.
12. Installs concrete reinforcing as directed.
13. Sorts forms stripped according to size.
14. Removes forms from set concrete.
15. Performs numerous tasks involving dexterous use of hands and hand tools such as tying rebar, cutting wood, using a jackhammer, dismantling forms, and shoveling.
16. Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies.
17. Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and the work area.
18. Other miscellaneous duties as directed by your supervisor.
19. Knows Company safety policies and adheres to them while working at all times.

Job Qualifications:

1. Ability to reach and grip constantly.
2. Ability to stoop and kneel frequently.
3. Ability to climb, balance, crouch and crawl occasionally.
4. Ability to lift 0-25 pounds constantly.
5. Ability to lift 25-75 pounds frequently.
6. Ability to lift 75+ pounds occasionally.
7. Constant exposure to weather.
8. Frequent exposure to dust/fumes.
9. Constant time spent working on your feet.
10. Occasional use of vibratory tools.
11. Occasional work above and below ground.
12. Must be able to bring a hammer and tape measure.
13. Must wear a hard hat, safety glasses and work boots.
