Job summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking laborers for heavy highway, road, and bridge construction projects. You will assist with site preparation, cleanup, material handling, traffic control, and various construction activities under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction labor preferred but not required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to safety.
• Ability to follow supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks involving physical labor on heavy civil construction projects.
• Assist concrete, drainage, and retaining wall crews as needed.
• Load and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Flag and direct traffic near work zones.
• Set up and maintain traffic control devices.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Work safely in all weather conditions.
• Lift, push, and/or pull items up to 50 pounds.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and participate in safety meetings.
• Perform other labor-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
