Job Overview:

ITC is looking for motivated individuals to join our fiber splicing team! Experience in the Telecom industry is preferred but not required. We will fully train you to splice fiber optic cable, including underground and aerial splicing, as well as running fiber drops for our clients. Our services cater to both residential and commercial customers.

Job Requirements:

• Operate various trenching equipment such as a mini skid steer or walk-behind trencher.
• Capable of carrying, handling, and climbing 28-ft ladders.
• Ability to work at heights: Splicing fiber on utility poles and strands.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including potential workdays exceeding normal hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to distinguish differences in wire and cable colors.
• Willingness to complete on-the-job and classroom training to stay competitive in the telecommunications field.

Physical Demands:

• Stand, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods.
• Frequently push, pull, lift, and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Visual abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• Regularly work in inclement weather conditions.
• Work near moving mechanical parts, and in wet, humid, or vibrating conditions.
