Building a Safer Tomorrow

If you are passionate about constructing safer communities and ensuring reliable natural gas distribution, we invite you to join our team as a Gas Technician. You will be involved in piping residential and commercial gas services, securing flow from meters to existing fuel lines, and maintaining safe operation of appliances.

We welcome both entry-level and experienced candidates. Pay depends on qualifications and location within NY, with opportunities across Western, Central, Southern Tier, and the Capital Region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform tasks related to natural gas infrastructure projects safely and efficiently.
2. Work on diverse sites, including public rights-of-way, private properties, and commercial and residential areas.
3. Maintain equipment and materials, ensuring safety and readiness.
4. Follow safety protocols and industry standards meticulously.
5. Operate equipment such as skid loaders as needed.

Qualifications:

Level 1 – Pay Range: $21-$25/hr (Prevailing Wage)

• Ability to pass Operator Qualification Testing for Natural Gas work.
• Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and/or CDL.
• Physical ability to lift at least 100 lbs.

Level 2 – Pay Range: $26-$32/hr (Prevailing Wage)

• Meet Level 1 requirements.
• At least 2 years of underground utility construction experience.
• Possession of NGA, Grid, or other recognized gas operator qualifications.

General Requirements:

• High School Diploma or vocational training.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with operating backhoes or similar equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
