Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated construction laborer to support field teams across our projects. You will assist in cleaning sites, loading materials, setting up scaffolding, digging trenches, and operating basic equipment to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to read plans and measurements, and readiness to work 40+ hours with potential weekends. Safety遵守 and reliable teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers and understand direction from supervisor.
• Must be able to utilize basic math and read a tape measure.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively
• Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments
• 40 or more hours per week with possible weekend work
• Background check and drug screen based on job location/requirements

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Load or unload building materials to be used.
• Build or take apart bracing, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction.
• Operate or tend equipment and machines used.
• Help craft workers with their duties.
• Follow construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers.
• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as brooms and shovels, pavement breakers, jackhammers, earth tampers, and surveying equipment.
• Other duties as assigned
