Construction Laborer For High End Remodeling Company

Job Title: Construction Laborer.

Job Overview:Laborers are integral to our team and the success of our projects. The assist in many areas of the process and should always ready to lend a hand and ensure our job sites are clean and safe. Our laborers are reliable, positive, open to feedback, and motivated to learn. This is an entry level construction job with the possibility of advancement as skills grow. WHAT YOU’LL DOResponsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide demolition labor, Site clean up, load/unload materials weighing 50 lbs+, install property protection and organize tools and materials.
  • Assist with sitework. (i.e., digging a trench, operate machinery)
  • Provide light carpentry assistance to the lead carpenters as needed.
  • Be proactive - look for opportunities to help and ask questions; what needs to be done first? What needs to be done next?
  • Work in an organized fashion and be accountable for your work.
  • Clearly communicate ideas and information; be inquisitive and resourceful.
  • Work safely and keep teammates safe.
  • Assist in maintaining job site security. (i.e., ensure safety of all people, tools, and materials)
  • Occasionally drive a company vehicle, depending on site location. (must be able to provide a clean motor vehicle report prior to approval)

What you need for success:We prioritize a willingness to learn, teamwork and a positive attitude over experience but the position has the following requirements:

  • The ability to meet the following physical requirements:
    • Work in all weather conditions.
    • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Ability to work in a dusty environment and on uneven terrain.
    • Ability to work in tight or high places. (i.e., scaffolding and crawlspaces)
  • A willingness to follow direction and perform work as required.
  • Basic carpentry tools (i.e., tool belt , hammer, utility knife, 30’ measuring tape, cordless drill and bit holder, gloves, etc.);
  • Basic understanding of job site organization and construction practices.
  • Positive attitude, self-awareness, and care for others.
  • Some knowledge of safety and health procedures. (ongoing safety training provided)
  • Reliable transportation. (this is a must)
  • A cell phone. (smart phone or I-phone)
  • U.S. work authorization.
