Job summary

Brinkman Construction Inc in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a reliable laborer to contribute on-site with a crew and independently. You will follow directions, meet daily and weekly goals, and help maintain safety and quality on projects.

Requires HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work in all weather. Company-sponsored OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR training available. We offer competitive pay, bonuses, ESOP, PTO, benefits, and 401(k) matching, with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable daily transportation to job site.
• Valid driver’s license for past 12 months.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Fluent in English.
• One year of construction experience preferred.
• OSHA 10-hour and First Aid/CPR training completed within 6 months (company sponsored).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team on projects.
• Follow directions from the team lead (verbal and hand signals).
• Independently set and focus on daily/weekly goals.
• Follow and enforce OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and digging.
• Travel to various project locations as required.
• Document and report tasks as required.

About the Role:

As a laborer, you will play an important role on our projects, contributing both as part of a crew and independently. Proactive problem-solving, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential qualities we value.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with the team on projects
• Comprehend and follow directions (verbal and hand-signaled) from the team lead
• Independently set and focus on daily and weekly goals
• Follow and enforce applicable OSHA and company safety regulations
• Regularly lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, digging, and shoveling
• Travel to various project locations as required
• Maintain concentration in a busy and noisy construction environment
• Document and report tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation to and from the work location every day
• Current driver’s license, valid for the past consecutive 12 months
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• Fluent in understanding and speaking English
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of construction experience preferred
• Completed 10-hour OSHA Training Course within 6 months of employment (company sponsored).
• Completed First Aid/CPR Training Course within 6 months of employment (company sponsored).
