Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Fire Watch for a project near Coldwater, MI. You will monitor welding and other hot work to help prevent fire hazards and maintain a safe work area before, during, and after operations. Start date 9/14/2026 and estimated end 10/10/2026.

Schedule is about 60 hours per week; pay rate is $22/hour. Must complete required online site safety training before starting. Prior construction or fire watch experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must complete required online site safety training before starting
• Previous construction or fire watch experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to remain alert and focused throughout the shift
• Must wear standard PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, work boots, and gloves
• Reliable transportation and ability to work the full project schedule

• Monitor welding and other hot work activities to help prevent fire hazards
• Maintain a safe work area before, during, and after welding operations
• Watch for sparks, smoldering materials, and other potential fire risks
• Ensure fire extinguishers and safety equipment are readily available
• Report unsafe conditions and follow all site safety procedures
