Job summary

Resource Environmental Solutions LLC in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a dependable Construction Laborer to support restoration projects across our region. You will assist with site prep, landscaping, erosion control, and general labor on active sites, including wetlands and stormwater facilities.

You will work outdoors on a crew, follow safety protocols, use power tools and landscape equipment, and travel weekly with overnight stays; weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with outdoor labor is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation essential.

The ability to travel weekly Monday-Friday with overnight stay-- Per Diem and hotel stay provided-- Certain projects will require working weekends.

A Day in the Life

No two days are exactly the same, but here's a glimpse into what your day‑to‑day might look like:

Morning Kickoff

• Start your day by reviewing detailed work specifications and plans for the day's tasks.
• Conduct safety checks on all tools and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and readiness.

Tool Operation

• Operate a variety of tools, including power tools like drills and circular saws, as well as landscape equipment like chainsaws and weed eaters, to perform critical tasks on‑site.

Hands‑On Erosion Control

• Work hands‑on to implement erosion and sediment control measures, following detailed specifications to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Seeding, mulching and matting
• Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure safety around the work area
• Set‑Up and maintenance of bypass water pumping & work area dewatering

End‑of‑Day Wrap‑Up

• Clean and store tools and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for the next day.
• Review completed tasks with your supervisor to confirm everything meets the required standards and specifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.
