JOB DESCRIPTION

The Laborer is a member of our outside plant division, directed by the Construction Foreman, and responsible for ensuring accuracy related to tasks while following all policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
2. Assist crew members with construction work as required.
3. Operate compressors and missiles.
4. Install pedestals and vaults.
5. Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment safely.
6. Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth.
7. Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces.
8. Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables.
9. Maintain equipment.
10. Perform site clean-up.
11. Complete all required company documentation.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
13. Always comply with proper safety standards and procedures while operating equipment according to Pramira’s safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and have a health card.
2. Self-motivated with the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
3. Ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers.
4. Ability to exert heavy physical effort, lift heavy objects, kneel, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl.
5. Frequently use hand tools and pneumatic tools (tampers, compactors, jackhammers, chipping hammers).
6. Ability to assist in the installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes, and cables.
7. Must pass a drug test and background check.
