Salary: $18-$21

Position: Construction Laborer

Department: Installation and maintenance team

Reports To: Project Manager

Overall Responsibility

Perform various labor tasks (including loading, unloading, moving materials, trenching, installation of stormwater control measures, and other manual tasks) as instructed by the project manager, adhering to DTECs quality, safety, and efficiency standards and expectations. Successful laborers will exemplify quality, safety, and output, while modeling DTECs values.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Understand, agree, and commit to DTEC company values.
• Contribute to the success of a small installation and maintenance team.
• Be responsible for personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety vest, safety toe boots, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, FR clothing) and follow DTECs safety policies.
• Proactively identify and avoid potential hazards.
• Report vehicle, trailer, or equipment repair or maintenance needs to the project manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Attributes

• Follow instructions from the project manager or site leader.
• Possess some knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Maintain an appropriate appearance.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Encourage equipment damage prevention.
• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions with appropriate clothing.
