Job summary

Pepper Construction Wisconsin offers a 12-week internship for college students to gain hands-on experience in construction management. You will be paired with a Project Manager and/or Superintendent and work on submittals, take-offs, budgets, and meetings, with site tours and safety trainings.

The program runs Memorial Day through mid‑August; housing is not provided. Strong communication, computer skills, and teamwork are valued in this collaborative, field‑oriented environment.

• Current college students entering Junior or Senior year preferred in Construction Management or related discipline.
• Good communication skills - verbal and written.
• Strong computer skills to learn and apply new technology quickly.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team with submittals, take-offs, and budget preparation as appropriate.
• Support on-site and office activities, including meetings and tours.
• Engage in training sessions, safety activities, and jobsite exposure.
• Help ensure details are accurate to support project outcomes.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Pepper Construction Wisconsin is looking for qualified, intelligent students with a passion for learning about the construction industry to come and experience life as a General Contractor.

You will be paired with a Project Manager and/or Superintendent on one of our construction teams. You will work directly with many aspects of project management, including but not limited to, processing submittals, take‑offs, potentially preparing budgets and attending job site/owner meetings. We intend to expose you to real‑life situations in the field and in the office. You will also be involved in training sessions, jobsite tours and safety.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current college students entering their Junior or Senior year studying Construction Management or a related discipline preferred; liberal arts majors welcome!
• Good communication skills - verbal and written
• Strong computer skills that allow you to learn and understand new technology and put it into practice quickly
• A confidence that allows you to work independently but a desire to be part of a team and work collaboratively in it
• Skilled at multi‑tasking, but never taking your eye off the details that can change the outcome
• Reliable transportation to and from work‑related activities and assignments daily; housing is not offered
• Able to participate in the 12‑week program from Memorial Day to Mid‑August
