Job summary

Meritage Homes invites motivated students to join our summer 2027 Construction Internship in the Houston area. You will learn the end-to-end homebuilding process in assigned communities, work with leaders across construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, and HR, and contribute to strategic projects.

This full-time, in-person internship offers hands-on experience and a pathway to growth.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree program at a regionally accredited university or college.
• Desire to learn the homebuilding industry and Meritage's business model.
• Willingness to translate classroom knowledge into practical internship projects.
• Interest in cross-functional collaboration and leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the homebuilding process within assigned communities.
• Support on-time delivery within cycle times and budget targets.
• Support quality expectations and customer satisfaction goals.
• Participate in cross-functional projects with other interns and leaders.
• Present real-world recommendations to senior leadership.
• Complete a reflective paper on internship experiences.
