Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Buffalo, NY invites motivated students to join as an Intern/Co-Op this summer. The role supports learning in construction management, safety protocols, subcontractor coordination, and project lifecycle on an active site.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position running May/June to August 2027, with shifts varying by project needs. You will assist with meeting coordination, material tracking, document control, and progress reporting, while applying classroom

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited degree program or co-op, major in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Must be 18+ to work at a construction site.
• Desire to work in construction management and learn about the industry.
• Available for standard business hours and overtime as assigned.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Ability to read and comprehend written information.
• Able to work independently and in a team with supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
• Follow project site signage and supervisor instructions.
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn about construction management.
• Relate and apply academic knowledge to work activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Assist with project start-up activities and support Project Engineer/Superintendent/Manager.
• Assist with collection and review of information for RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Assist with preparation of estimates for changes in work from subcontractors.
