Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Intern for a Jacksonville, FL assignment beginning May 2027. The internship is designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from academic study, helping the transition from student to professional.

Interns will be assigned duties to provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study, under guidance of experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar discipline with at least 1 year of study completed.
• Recent grads may apply if enrolled in the master's program in the same discipline.
• Interest in pursuing advanced degree after internship.

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in Jacksonville, FL.

This position is expected to begin in May 2027.

Minimum Requirements

• Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large complex projects (stadiums, sports facilities, arenas)
• Experience with commercial tenant improvements,ideally restaurant, hospitality.
• Can read and coordinate architectural, MEP drawings and equipment layouts.
• Able to follow directions and interact with all levels of management on a working construction project.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Revit.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $16.05 to $28.07.
