Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in Jacksonville, FL. The position is anticipated to begin in May 2027. Responsibilities include hands-on learning and broad exposure within the field, designed to bridge academic study with professional practice.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in construction management or civil engineering, with at least one year of study completed and a strong interest in advancing to a master’s degree. On-site opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study.
• Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline.
• Eligible to apply for these positions if currently pursuing relevant studies and planning to continue into master's program.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting large complex projects (stadiums, sports facilities, arenas)


• Experience with commercial tenant improvements,ideally restaurant, hospitality.


• Can read and coordinate architectural, MEP drawings and equipment layouts.


• Able to follow directions and interact with all levels of management on a working construction project.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Revit.
