M&J Engineering, P.C. is a provider of multi-discipline consulting services with over 300 employees. Since 2004, it has grown into a diversified provider of engineering, construction management, construction inspection, technology, and environmental services for a broad range of clients, including federal, state, and local agencies, private owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.

M&J Engineering specializes in construction management and inspection, ITS, mechanical, electrical, wastewater, water supply, tunnel, airport, port, marine/coastal, environmental engineering, and design-build services for infrastructure projects and renovations.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a construction inspector with transportation industry experience. This role supports WMATA within the Washington, DC Metro area and is ideal for candidates with previous or current WMATA experience or similar experience with major transportation authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform construction inspection related to civil, electrical/communications, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  2. Ensure work complies with approved plans, specifications, means, methods, and procedures.
  3. Report to the MATOC Program Manager, WMATA Task Manager, or designated representative.
Qualifications
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a civil, mechanical, structural, roofing, or general contractor inspector.
  • At least five (5) years supporting multiple tasks.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering and construction practices, disciplines, codes, and regulations.
  • Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course.

WMATA experience preferred. Hourly salary range: $37-$46.
