ATI has a current need for a full-time Construction Inspector in Anniston, Alabama providing support on both new construction and renovation projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Becomes familiar with contract plans and specifications relative to all phases of construction and delivers recommendations of any necessary changes to Government personnel.
  2. Develops detailed inspection requirements and control methods in coordination with Government personnel.
  3. Provides surveillance at construction sites, assists client to resolve apparent issues, and delivers opinions to Government personnel.
  4. Delivers surveillance reports on all phases of construction for compliance with plans and specifications in respect to workmanship, materials, installation, and construction methods to Government personnel.
  5. Surveys quality assurance programs related to projects, discusses changed conditions, and delivers advice to Government personnel.
  6. Delivers assistance to the Government relative to investigating the need for and preparing data for change orders.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  1. More than 5 years of experience as a construction inspector on large, complex multimillion dollar construction projects, preferably in support of the DoD.
  2. Experience with USACE's 3-Phase QC/Inspection process, Management System (RMS), and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual is highly preferred.
  3. Position may require frequent and recurring construction inspections, which includes walking, climbing, stooping, and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain.
  4. Knowledge and experience with relevant software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
  6. US citizenship and the ability to pass a background check in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $110,000 to $140,000/year depending on experience

Location: Anniston, AL

Working Hours: Normal Work Hours Monday-Friday (anticipate 40 hours per week).
