Fishbeck is seeking a Construction Inspector to support projects in the Cincinnati, OH area. The primary duties of this position include construction observation of water treatment facilities and associated documentation. Applicants must be willing to work in an outdoor environment.


Primary Functions



  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with Contract Documents and approved shop drawings.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and engineers to address constructability issues and handle Requests for Information.

  • Participate in owner and construction progress meetings to stay informed and contribute to project success.

  • Generate daily reports to keep everyone updated on project status.

  • Attend manufacturer start-ups to gain hands-on experience and ensure smooth operations.



Desired Education

Associate's degree or Equivalent Experience in Civil Engineering Technology/Construction


Desired Skills/Experience


  • 8+ years of previous experience performing construction observation for water/wastewater treatment facilities and/or water and wastewater utilities.

  • Experience/familiarity with the following types of work:

  • Vertical construction (buildings)

  • Cast-in-place concrete

  • Process equipment, piping, and valves

  • Mechanical/HVAC systems

  • Electrical and instrumentation systems

  • Underground pipe and conduit construction

  • Painting/coating systems

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
