Job summary

WSP is seeking a Construction Inspector to oversee road or bridge construction projects valued up to $50 million. Based in Portland, ME (or Augusta/Eliot) with flexibility for Merrimack, NH, you will report to the Resident Engineer and supervise on-site activities, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5 years of inspection experience, a High School Diploma (AS degree preferred), and a valid driver’s license. Procore/Bluebeam experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable construction inspection experience.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver''s license.
• Commitment to safety policies and code of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Interface with contractor supervisors to determine and monitor daily work.
• Complete daily reports, measure and quantify unit price quantities.
• Coordinate independent material sampling and testing, or perform it when needed.
• Monitor maintenance of traffic.
• Take and compile photographs to track daily progress.
• Update red-line drawings using Bluebeam.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
