Our Trenton Construction Management Team is seeking an entry-level inspector to apply standard inspection procedures during and after construction, focusing on structural quality, safety, and conformance to plans, specifications, and codes. Working hours will include night shifts. This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship, except for TN visa classification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.
2. Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
3. Measure dimensions and verify levels, alignments, elevations of structures, fixtures, grades, and pavements to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
4. Gather and maintain record documents.
5. Create field notes and perform computations.

Non-essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience may be substituted.
• Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Construction inspection experience is preferred.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in the field. Ability to perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Work may be conducted outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, humid, and dry/arid environments.
