Job Description

AECOM needs Construction Inspectors for the US Army Corps of Engineers at the Pituffik Space Base in Greenland. This role requires candidates to reside and work on-site for 10-12 months, with travel to the US approximately every two months for two weeks off. Preferred candidates have over 6 years of experience as a construction project inspector on large, complex DoD projects. Responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, field inspections, and reporting, with a focus on professionalism, communication, and attention to detail.

This person will be responsible for:

• Providing oversight to ensure compliance with contract requirements and standards.
• Evaluating inspection and testing procedures, documenting deficiencies, and ensuring adherence to the USACE 3-Phase inspection program.
• Documenting compliance with standards and specifications.
• Maintaining records of field observations, reports, measurements, and computations.
• Participating in technical reviews, development plans, and progress meetings.
• Developing punch lists and resolving construction conflicts.
• Documenting progress through photographs and reports.
• Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance during construction.
• Attending project meetings and participating in tests and demonstrations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• HS diploma + 10 years of related experience, or AA/AS + 8 years, or Diploma/Certificate + 8 years

Preferred Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience on large DoD projects as a construction inspector
• Experience with Microsoft Office and RMS
• Knowledge of USACE Three Phase Inspection Process
• Knowledge of EM 385-1 Safety Requirements
• CQM Certification

Additional Information

• This position is located at Base Name in Greenland. Candidates must be willing to reside and work on-site for 10-12 months.
• Sponsorship and relocation are not available.
• Compensation ranges from $95,000 to $125,000 based on location and qualifications.
