MKEC Engineering is seeking a Part-Time Construction Inspector at our Wichita, KS location. The role involves inspecting municipal and civil projects, preparing daily logs, and coordinating with contractors and clients. The schedule is project-based with variable hours, including 30–40+ hours per week during active periods.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree is preferred and 2–5 years of civil inspection or trades experience. Valid driver’s license required.

We're looking for a Part-Time Construction Inspector to join our team at our Wichita location. This individual will assist with a variety of projects from any of our civil engineering service areas: Land Development, Public Works, Transportation, and Industrial/Energy.
This position operates on a project-by-project schedule with variable hours throughout the year rather than a steady weekly schedule. During active construction periods, work will probably be full-time (30–40+ hours per week over 5–6 days), followed by multi-week or multi-month gaps between projects with minimal to no hours.
