Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) for transportation projects.
• Direct field experience as a contractor or materials-testing technician can substitute for CEI experience.
• Completed inspector certification courses including NCDOT hot-mix asphalt and concrete courses.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction methods and workmanship to ensure adherence to plans.
• Maintain daily reports of inspection along with detailed project progress records.
• Assist with materials sampling and testing, verifying sufficient testing has been performed.
