This posting is for an Engineering Technician II in the Smithfield Construction Office.
Applicants must demonstrate experience in:
Experience with IPads/tablets, HiCAMS, and SharePoint/SharePlus is highly preferred.
The role involves exposure to hazards like construction equipment, high traffic, heights over water or traffic, and outdoor conditions with varying weather. Moderate physical activity is required, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, climbing, and kneeling. Night, weekend, and holiday work may be necessary. Must be able to legally drive a state vehicle and wear safety toe shoes.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of NCDOT post-offer employment evaluation.
Qualifications include an associate degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field, plus two years of relevant technician experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. See oshr.nc.gov/experience-guide for details.
