Under the supervision and support of one or more Senior Inspectors or Construction Supervisors, performs on site construction project inspection for new construction, repair, and rehabilitation projects. Reads and interprets construction and contract documents and may provide oversight on multiple-simultaneous projects. Carefully observes and reports on the work of the General Construction Contractor and its subcontractors to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Construction Contract.
Driving a District vehicle for business will be required. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties are responsible for maintaining a current, valid, and vehicle - appropriate driver's license of their resident state. Work conditions vary from indoor to outdoor activities. Outdoor activities may involve exposure to unfavorable worksite conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, dust, dirt, noise, heights and uneven walking surfaces. May be required to office out of the company vehicle. Activities may require sitting, standing, walking, bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, carrying, dragging up to 75 pounds of equipment. Equipment used includes surveyor's transit, level, steel tape, and camera. Work may vary depending on information requests.
Compensation Range $25.94 - $38.39 Compensation Grade 25
