Job summary

CDM Smith in Connecticut is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform inspections of basic to moderate complexity on active projects. Under supervision, you will evaluate structural conditions and document issues.

You will communicate findings and prepare reports for project leadership, supporting QA efforts. Some travel may be required, offering exposure to diverse projects within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.
• 4 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs construction inspections of basic to moderate complexity.
• Evaluates the condition of the structure.
• Documents deterioration, structural condition, and any needed sampling.
• Documents deficiencies between design and execution of construction.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Upon discovery of deficiencies or issues with construction work, provides reports to project leadership.
