Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Construction Inspector in Phoenix, AZ to conduct contract inspections ensuring plans and specifications are followed across all construction phases.

You will document daily activities, inspect materials and traffic control for safety, and coordinate with contractors to keep projects on track. ACI ATTI ATSSA SWPPP IMSA certifications add value, with travel and occasional night/weekend work expected.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Construction Inspection.
• Certifications required: ACI Certified, ATTI Field Technician, ATSSA preferred.
• Experience with field testing and construction inspections on infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a construction inspector on infrastructure projects under supervision of the project engineer.
• Track and inspect daily activities of the contractor; measure completed work for payment.
• Maintain daily project documentation and inspection logs.
• Determine non-compliance with plans or specs; submit daily diaries/logs.
• Inspect traffic control and other site items for safety and compliance.
• Coordinate with contractor to facilitate construction operations.
• Perform field materials testing with nuclear density gauge if needed.
• Perform concrete testing if needed.
